They Showed Up And Were Beautiful

It’s a beautiful afternoon.
Some friends of mine are coming over soon with newfound passion for one another.
I’m sitting on the roof of my home with pleasure so rare I don’t know if I ever felt like this before.
I always though I fooled myself when this feeling did appear but no.
I found a way to receive it, the spirit of my days here.
I’m starting to believe it.
It’s all gonna be different from now on.
We’ve talked about this before, of how this year is gonna be different for us all.
No depression to fall back on.
That’s what I’ve done so many years without even trying.
Feeling bad about it all ‘cause we’re constantly reminded of how pointless and small we’re all supposed to be in this society.
That’s where I’ve been fooling myself so I’ve been living it all out now.
