Rust

I don’t know what you’ve been through.
But you don’t get out much do you?
Your bitterness is overdue.
It grows all over you.
But for real.
It’s closer than what you can imagine, the change.
You owe it to what still remain.

Once proudly you fulfilled 
what was expected of you.
Once you worked for what they build.
For all of us to continue.
But like everybody else, 
you took it all for granted.
And did it all just for your self – and then rust implanted.

At least you have someone for this occasion.
Who’s willing to look right through.
Stripped of all hope and expectations.
Reflecting bad on you.
This lost cause perfected you.
(I know that’s what you’re thinking)
When the ship goes down, you go proudly, too.
